Forsyth, a long-serving PC MLA and former cabinet minister, crossed to the Wildrose Alliance with Rob Anderson over dissatisfaction with PC governance.
Forsyth was re-elected as Wildrose in 2012. She became interim Wildrose leader in 2014 after Danielle Smith's mass crossing.
