Jim Melenchuk and Ron Osika

Melenchuk and Osika, the last two Saskatchewan Liberal MLAs, crossed to the governing NDP, effectively ending the Saskatchewan Liberals as a legislative force.

Both received cabinet appointments. Melenchuk became Learning Minister and Osika became Corrections and Public Safety Minister. Both were defeated in 2003.
