Richard Holden

Holden represented English-speaking Westmount in a party that fought for English language rights. He crossed to the Parti Québécois - a French-first, pro-independence party. It was the exact opposite of everything his voters had elected him to do.

He lost his seat. The crossing was widely ridiculed as one of the most bizarre in Canadian history.
