Ross Thatcher

Thatcher was a socialist MP, but over time his views shifted dramatically to the right. He left the CCF because he no longer believed in their policies.

He lost the next election. But years later, he became leader of the Saskatchewan Liberals and then Premier of Saskatchewan. A rare case where crossing the floor eventually led to the top job - but it took years.
