Each version is immutable and carries its own files, integrity checks, schema, dictionary, and notes. This first normalized release preserves inherited research leads without presenting them as verified facts.
Every table is available as CSV and Parquet.

The keyless API provides localized fields, cursor pagination, ETags, and explicit unknown states. Its default scope returns only published, verified records.
Automated checks test published links without treating availability as a reliability judgment. Sites that reject automated requests are counted separately from broken links.
Operational health JSONProject-authored structured data is offered under the Open Government Licence – Canada 2.0 where the project has authority to license it. Sources, quotations, portraits, and third-party metadata retain their own rights.
